The DEOC, Goalpara operates 24x7x365 days for any assistance related to a Disaster situation. For assistance during any Emergency situation a Toll Free number (1077) has been made operationalized from this year (2015) with an intension to serve the common masses better and to minimize the response time.
DEOC, Goalpara operates on 24x7x365 basis under which an assistant will be there on duty on rotation basis in shifts.
Role & Responsibility of DEOC
- Early Warning Dissemination
- Collecting Reports of Damage etc. from the Circle Offices
- Maintaining co-ordination among the Line Departments and the District Administration
- Daily Reporting to Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA), Dispur, Guwahati.
- Receiving Public Grievances over telephone and report it to the concern authority through uploading it in the existing Public Grievance Reporting System.
